Acne is a problem throughout the entire world. It affects teens, as well as adults. At times, it seems like nothing can be done to prevent, slow down, or even impact it. There are far too many false rumors and pretenses going around today about acne. The fact that it is an ugly, horrible skin problem is completely true, though.
It’s a certainty that we would all love to see a world free of skin problems such as acne, but it appears this won't be in any near-future generation. As technology advances, we will eventually find a cure. But in the meantime, we must live with our problems. As for now, there really is little that can be done about acne, but it is somewhat treatable. There are thousands of "treatments", "remedies", and so-called "cures" out there today; it's almost sickening. It's understandable that 95% of these products do not work. So why are they then kept on the store shelves? It's all about advertising, and making money. If one single product were to cure any type of acne with absolutely no harmful side effects, it would absolutely destroy all of the other products out there. It seems that no one is working to find this "magic" product, and looking in hindsight, it's shockingly apparent as to why. There is no feeling greater in this world than the feeling of envy. This is a universal feeling - when it comes to looks and, ultimately, acne. There are so many feelings crushed, hearts stomped, and egos destroyed because of this terrible disease. It's unbelievable that something this bad is happening, yet it is almost totally uncontrolled. It's almost as if acne is an acceptable thing now, and everyone is suffering from it. So when it comes down to it, the effects of acne lie deeper than the skin portrays. Acne effects not only physical, but also mental, emotional, and social aspects of lives. Too many times there are people out there not living up to their full potential of life. This means the way in which they are mentally brought up to be. There will be a person who has become shy, and emotionally disturbed because of his or her appearance. They were not this way before the skin problem, and seemingly have turned into a new person. This is quite alarming and in some cases, can be deadly. In conclusion, there are many ways in which acne can effect people. It seems like acne is almost an unknown epidemic, and is sliding under the radar because it is not deemed a "deadly" disease. There are many that would agree with this, yet there are many that would disagree. It seems to be all a matter of opinion. If there were an overnight cure, no one on this planet would suffer from acne. Until this day comes, the 90+ percent of the world's population will run into the bathroom and try to cover what they can in the mirror with make-up, while the rest will walk with their face turned into the darkness to not show their embarrassing problem. If this problem persists at such an alarming rate, there will be no need for cameras in many years, as the entire population will be suffering from the effects of this problem, and slowly, the world will change before our eyes.
